ASU Police work to better communicate with students, community

Mike Thompson, ASU's new police chief, and longtime Tempe activist Karyn Gitlis spoke with KJZZ host Steve Goldstein about a shared goal to better engage and communicate with students and the surrounding community.

"In a university environment … there are a lot of opportunities to work with the community," said Thompson, who said cooperation among local agencies and residents and campus communities is necessary for police work to be effective.
