As 9/11 anniversary approaches, Pat Tillman's legacy inspires action

With the 10-year anniversary of September 11th quickly approaching, many Arizonans are reflecting on the lasting legacy of Pat Tillman, former ASU student-athlete who died serving his country in Afghanistan. After September 11, Tillman left a professional football career with the Arizona Cardinals to join the U.S. Army.

With the launch of the Pat Tillman Veterans Center at ASU and the annual Pat's Run – emphasizing Tillman's commitment to public service and support of U.S. troops – Tillman has become a critical part of the 9/11 story in the United States.
