Sun Devil strong: Former football player, coach celebrates 100th birthday
Former ASU football player and assistant coach Larry Kentera was feted at his 100th birthday party by a who's who of Sun Devil football greats.As the host institution for the 2024 NCAA Men's Final Four, ASU was in charge of planning and various logistics. Students from a range of majors had multiple opportunities to work the event, from Cronkite School journalists covering the event to Watts College tourism students helping staff the Fan Fest in downtown Phoenix. Here's a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action.
Don “Donze” Mullett has supported ASU’s hockey program since its club days in 2000 when his youngest son, Chris, played for the team. In 2014, Mullett and his wife, Barbara, were instrumental in elevating Sun Devil Hockey to NCAA Division I status through their philanthropic support. On April 8, Mullett died peacefully surrounded by family, just two days before his 82nd birthday.

5 ASU alumni receive NCAA Final Four community award
