Posted: Jun 03, 2010 | 2 min 27 sec

ASU graduate students and researchers are working on developing an alternative energy source that makes electricity by using sunlight. The goal of the research project, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Basic Energy Sciences, is to find ways to make organic solar cells produce materials to make energy more efficient and affordable enough to replace our reliance on fossil fuels.
