ASU softball takes monumental 8-1 win over Arizona

The No. 1 ASU Sun Devils softball team took a monumental 8-1 win over in-state rival No. 7 Arizona Wildcats, in Tucson, Wednesday night.


Track & field's Johnson, Williams earn awards from Pac-10

The Pacific-10 Conference announced its first weekly honors Wednesday (April 9) with two members of the Arizona State University track and field team earning distinction, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced. Junior Charonda Williams was selected as the Pac-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week while senior Jacquelyn Johnson was selected as the Pac-10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week.


Sun Angel Track Classic set for this weekend

The 29th Sun Angel Track Classic presented by Coca-Cola will be held this weekend on Joe Selleh Track at Sun Angel Stadium in Tempe as the Arizona State University track and field program welcomes some of the top teams in the nation to Valley of the Sun for what is shaping up to be a solid competition.


Gym Devils head to Oklahoma for South Central Regional

The No. 19 Gym Devils head to Oklahoma for their 27th consecutive NCAA regional on April 12 at 6:00 p.m.


Softball's 'Duel in the Desert' goes to Tucson

The top-ranked Sun Devil Softball squad (41-2, 5-0 Pac-10) squad will hit the road for only one game this Wednesday before opening Pac-10 play at home this weekend. Wednesday's foe? In-state rival, Arizona. The Sun Devils will travel down to Tucson to Hillenbrand Stadium on Wednesday with first pitch at 7 p.m. PT


Men's tennis hosts Pac-10 foes USC & UCLA

The No. 18 Arizona State men's tennis team has a big weekend ahead of them as they host No. 5 UCLA and No. 6 USC. Friday's match against the Trojans begins at 1:30 p.m. while Saturday's action against the Bruins will begin at 1 p.m.


Baseball heads to Pac-10 series with Washington State

Arizona State looks to get back in the win column when they head to Pullman, Washington for a three-game Pac-10 series with Washington State.


Softball's 'Duel in the Desert' series nears sell-out

As the 2008 softball 'Duel in the Desert' home series draws closer, so do ticket sales towards a sell-out! Due to the high demand for tickets and seating, the Sun Devils will be bringing in portable bleachers for 420 additional seats.


Women's golf places second at PING/ASU Invitational

The Arizona State third-ranked women's golf team placed second at the PING/ASU Spring Invitational. The Sun Devils shot 1-over 865 (288-292-285), 12 strokes behind first place USC (281-288-285) the par-72, 6,230-yard ASU Karsten Golf Course.


Men's tennis defends home court against Washington

The No. 22 Arizona State men's tennis team continued to defend their home court as they defeated No. 23 Washington 5-2 at Whiteman Tennis Center. The Sun Devils moved to 14-2 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-10 while the Huskies fell to 13-7, 1-3. ASU is 7-0 at home this season.
