A college degree pays

A new U.S. Department of Treasury report shows that the 2011 weekly median earnings for college graduates was 64 percent higher than for those with only a high school diploma – $1,053 compared to $638. The unemployment rate among college graduates was 4.9% compared to 9.4% for those who only graduated high school.

In 2011, more than 84% of ASU graduates who reported they were looking for a job were either working or had been made an offer within 90 days of earning their degree.
