Ariz. entrepreneurial group selects ASU startups for fast pitch event

October 17, 2014

Three startup companies with origins at Arizona State University have been selected by entrepreneurial group TiE Arizona to pitch their business to a panel of judges at the upcoming Rapid Fire Pitch event.

Force Impact Technologies, EndoVantage and RubyRide are all ASU-affiliated through the Edson Student Entrepreneurship Initiative and Arizona Startup Accelerator. All teams have a combination of faculty, students, grad students and alums on their teams.

The annual Rapid Fire Pitch event is designed to showcase the best and brightest startups from a wide spectrum of industries. The chosen entrepreneurs will present a two-minute “rapid fire” pitch of their business. Three companies will win the opportunity to showcase at the TiE Venture Capital Roundtable in the first quarter of 2015 and will be automatically entered into Invest Southwest’s Venture Madness competition.

TiE, which stands for "the Indus Entrepreneurs," was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by businessmen and women from India. The group has since changed its focus to become global in nature.
