Education Week to highlight opportunities in improving education

Teach for America graduate teaching students in classroom
January 17, 2014

Beginning Jan. 21, students will be able to participate in Education Week. The goal of the weeklong event is to create education awareness, says Liza Roesch, a recruiter for Teach for America.

Education Week aims to introduce students to the different paths of entering the field of education. Additionally, the event will highlight volunteer opportunities with local high school students and the current legislative work being done to improve Arizona education.

"While the events are sponsored by Teach For America, it is important to highlight the many ways a person can effect change in education, regardless of their area of study," says Roesch.
