ASU professor looks forward to 'weekend on the moon'

June 19, 2013

Jim Bell, professor in Arizona State University's School of Earth and Space Exploration and president of The Planetary Society, sat down with Simon Constable of The Wall Street Journal Live to discuss the future of space exploration,  including colonizing Mars, NASA's robotics programs and whether mining asteroids will yield the gold rush of the 21st century.

Bell's recent book, titled, "The Space Book: From the Beginning to the End of Time, 250 Milestones in the History of Space and Astronomy," explained how excited he is for the future of studying and exploring space as he and Constable discussed possible upcoming milestones, even joking about a "Hilton or a Sheraton on the moon."
