Hodge discusses ethical issues of flu vaccines

James G. Hodge Jr., ASU Lincoln Professor of Health Law and Ethics, was a guest on KJZZ’s Here and Now, on Jan. 22, to discuss ethical issues surrounding flu vaccinations. The interview covered the ethics behind flu vaccinations, the legal implications of individuals going to work with flu, and whether businesses should require contagious people to stay home. The segment also included comments from Shoana Anderson of the Arizona Department of Health Services, who explained how the state's flu season compares to the rest of the country.

Hodge teaches Health Law, Ethics, and Policy, Public Health Law and Ethics, and Global Health Law and Policy at the College of Law. He also serves as Director of the Public Health Law Network - Western Region, one of five centers nationally funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and directs ASU’s Public Health Law and Policy Program, a leading academic center of scholarship and service in public health law and policy nationally.
