Online education graduate programs rank in top 50

U.S. News and World Report has ranked ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College among the nation's top 50 best programs in public and private universities offering online graduate degrees in education.

Released today, the 2013 “Best Online Education Program Rankings” also show Teachers College’s online graduate programs ranked 14th in Student Services and Technology and 29th in Faculty Credentials and Training.

ASU has the top-ranked online graduate education program in Arizona and is ranked rank 34th nationally among public universities included in the report. The report ranked a total of 143 public and private universities.

Teachers College offers ASU graduate students a variety of online master’s programs:

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavioral Analysis

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Autism Spectrum Disorders

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Concentration in Early Childhood Education

• Master of Arts – Curriculum and Instruction: English as a Second Language (ESL)

• Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction: Teaching and Learning, Gifted Education Focus

• Master of Education – Educational Leadership, Principal Leadership

• Master of Education – Educational Leadership, Teacher Leadership

”Our online graduate programs increase the impact we have by providing students everywhere with access to our nationally renowned faculty and cutting-edge technology,” said Mari Koerner, dean of the ASU Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.

This is the first year that U.S. News and World Report created its overall online master’s in education degree ranking. To do so, it collected statistical information from 208 institutions meeting its definition of an online master’s in education degree and scored them in these four categories: Admissions Selectivity, Student Engagement, Faculty Credentials and Training and Student Services and Technology.

Teachers College is ranked 49th overall nationally in this year's report.
