Election Day keepsake by the people, for the people

November 06, 2012

The ASU School of Art in the Herberger Institute's book arts and letterpress studio is offering its press on this Nov. 6 Election Day for the public to print their own Election Day keepsakes.

Daniel Mayer, an instructional specialist in the School of Art's top-ranked printmaking program at ASU, said he's welcoming the public to play student and hand-print their own keepsake on a letterpress.

The event offers "a hands-on sense of history as it unfolds throughout the Election Day," according to an article in Phoenix New Times Jackalope blog.

The free event runs through 3 p.m., today, in the Art Building on the ASU Tempe campus at 900 S. Forest Mall. The Letterpress Studio is located in room 45.
