ASU Alumni Association job board connects Sun Devils with employers

September 11, 2012

Arizona State University alumni who want to hire fellow Sun Devils have a new way to connect with the more than 335,000 graduates of the university. The ASU Alumni Association recently unveiled its Sun Devils First job board, which is free for all job seekers.

The board allows Fortune 500 companies, alumni-owned businesses, nonprofit organizations and other employers to post positions for job opportunities anywhere in the country. Employers who are members of the ASU Alumni Association may post at no cost; nonmembers pay a fee of $50 per position to post.

Christine K. Wilkinson, president of the Alumni Association, explained that the job board was part of a more comprehensive effort by her organization to support alumni in their professional lives. Other components offered by the association’s Alumni Career Program include monthly networking mixers, career development seminars, access to career coaching services, an active LinkedIn group with more than 22,000 members, video highlights from alumni-focused career events, and an informative blog.

“We expect Sun Devils First to become an integral part of our Alumni Career Resources program,” she said. “The job board allows employers to have access to some of ASU’s most talented alumni.”
