$1K student essay contest on border solutions

August 29, 2012

The North American Center for Transborder Studies is hosting an essay contest to elicit “outside the security box” ideas from ASU students on how the United States, Mexico and Canada can create truly 21st century ports of entry here in North America that secure our common economic future.

Conference organizers believe students are engaged enough with the issues and creative enough to bring 21st century solutions to the table.

The winner will receive $1,000 and recognition in front of the expected 400 participants at the “Realizing the Strength of our 21st Century Border” conference in September.

How to Apply: Please submit a 250-word essay (double spaced) to Doris Rasmussen, Budget & Research Administrator, NACTS, or deliver to NACTS, 245 E. Orange Mall, Wilson Hall, room 325, Tempe, AZ 85287-7103.
