Innovation Showcase: where students, technology and industry mix

Posted: May 15, 2012 | 2 min 44 sec

More than 100 student and industry-sponsored iProjects recently were on display at the Spring 2012 Innovation Showcase on the Polytechnic campus – an event that drew a thousand people to the College of Technology and Innovation to see the students’ work.

“The Innovation Showcase is a chance for people inside and outside the university to experience the outputs of CTI’s interdisciplinary learning model,” said Mitzi Montoya, the vice provost and dean of CTI.

“The team and project-based learning environment we have built here mirrors that which our students will experience when they enter the workforce, so they will be ready to contribute immediately to complex, challenging, real-world issues," Montoya said.
