ASU travel survey to aid in transportation planning

The School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, one of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, is helping the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and Valley Metro, the regional transportation planning agencies for the Valley, collect detailed information about the travel patterns and preferences of the ASU community.

The goal is to design future transportation systems that will accommodate the unique transportation needs of students, faculty and staff from all ASU campuses. 

To fill out the survey, visit asutravelsurvey.com. Participation in the survey is open to all ASU faculty, staff and students.

Support and participation is vital to the success of the study. Complete confidentiality is guaranteed, and there are no risks involved in participating in the survey. Participation in the survey is voluntary and limited to those 18 or older.

As thanks for participating in the survey, all respondents will be entered into a raffle to win a New Apple iPad. One lucky student and one lucky faculty/staff member will be notified by email the week of May 7, 2012.

Through this survey, MAG and Valley Metro hope to understand how, where, when and why ASU faculty, staff and students travel on a daily basis in order to build computer models of traffic movements that help identify sustainable transportation solutions.
