Golf a family affair for Mickelsons at ASU

Posted: Apr 05, 2012 | 3 min 29 sec

Phil Mickelson earned his psychology degree from Arizona State University in 1992 after winning three NCAA golf titles and a NCAA team title in 1990. Now 20 years later, his brother Tim Mickelson is leading the Sun Devil men's golf program as it continues its quest for its third NCAA title, joining the one in 1990 and one in 1996, when Tim was a member of the team.

This week Tim will be leading the men's golf team in the 40th annual Thunderbird Invitational at Karsten Golf Course, while Phil will be trying to win another major championship in Augusta, Ga. The Thunderbird Invitational is April 6-7 and is free to the public.

Produced by ASU journalism student Isaac Easley. Family photos provided by Phil and Tim's mother, Mary Mickelson.
