Spotted Elk and Humetewa featured for contributions to Native education

Indian Country Today Media Network has spotlighted ASU's Davina Spotted Elk and Diane Humetewa in a photo gallery of individuals deserving recognition for their contributions to Native American education in 2011.

Spotted Elk (Navajo) is a project director in the School of Social Transformation, where she coordinates the Center for Indian Education's Four Corners Teacher Preparation Project. Humetewa (Hopi) is special advisor to the president on American Indian Affairs.
