Erickson hopes California game leads to the Pac-12 Championship Game

Posted: Nov 21, 2011 | 12 min 59 sec

Dennis Erickson, ASU head football coach, says the California game could lead the Sun Devils to the Pac-12 Championship game.

If ASU beats California, Utah beats Colorado and USC defeats UCLA, Arizona State will represent the South Division in the first ever Pac-12 title game.

ASU would earn the berth in a three-team tie due to record against the South Division.

If ASU does not advance to the Pac-12 Championship, it will wait to receive a bowl bid next weekend. The Sun Devils have not been to a bowl in three years.

This is Erickson's weekly pre-game news conference.
