Posted: Nov 07, 2011 | 3 min 49 sec

"All the projects that we do in the industrial design program and in InnovationSpace focus on solving some kind of important social issue," says Prasad Boradkar, associate professor in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and director of ASU's InnovationSpace, who has earned the Institute for Humanities Research Transdisciplinary Humanities Book Award.

His book, "Designing things: A Critical Introduction to the Culture of Objects," draws on his extensive design studies and his theory and philosophy of visual culture.
