When you work all day and need to put food on the table fast, constructing a healthy dinner can seem to be a difficult challenge. However, busy Valley residents will soon have reason to feel hopeful about their evening meals when Robin Miller, nutritionist, cookbook author and food journalist, makes an appearance in Phoenix.

Miller will demonstrate how to prepare healthy, fast, and easy-to-make dinners for the entire family.

The event is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m., Nov. 30, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, 340 N. 3rd St., Phoenix. It is being hosted by the ASU Alumni Association, the ASU School of Nutrition & Health Promotion, and the ASU College of Nursing & Health Innovation, in partnership with az magazine.

Guests will be able to experience several of Miller’s signature dishes, receive great quick-fix meal tips, and gain insight on how to balance it all while ensuring one’s home-cooked meals are nutritious and healthy. They also will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Miller’s new book, “Robin Takes 5,” and have it autographed and personalized by Miller.  Karina Bland, a reporter for the Arizona Republic and ASU alumna, will serve as master of ceremonies at the event.

Miller, host of the Food Network cooking show “Quick Fix,” has a master’s degree in food and nutrition from New York University. She is the author of nine books and has provided her recipes to the American Heart Association, the American Institute for Cancer Research, and Weight Watchers.

The event costs $50 for members of the Alumni Association and $60 for nonmembers. Tables of 10 may be purchased for $600. To learn more or register for the event, visit http://alumni.asu.edu/services/career-resources/events/quick-fix-robin-miller.
