Sun Devil Send-Offs welcome new local students to ASU

March 31, 2011

Each spring, the ASU Alumni Association joins with alumni and ASU families around the Valley to welcome its newest freshmen students to the ASU community at the Sun Devil Send-Offs.

Send-Offs are casual affairs held in relaxed settings that offer a personal welcome to the university and opportunities for students to connect with ASU alumni as well as other new and continuing students. The event also allows students and their families to ask alumni questions about the Sun Devil experience.

“It is a truly wonderful event to attend and be a part of a Send-Off, and it’s a fantastic beginning to each student’s Sun Devil experience,” said Christine K. Wilkinson, president of the ASU Alumni Association.  “New ASU students have the opportunity to talk with our alums and have their questions answered by Sun Devils.”

This year, the Alumni Association will host five local Send-Offs, in addition to 30 others held at locations around the country.
