Family gears up for annual Pat's Run tradition By Britt Lewis | March 16, 2011 For the Websters, Pat's Run is a family affair. Shayley, age 8, will participate in her fifth Pat's Run, and Jaxson, age 9, will participate in his seventh run. Brian Webster poses with son Jaxson at the 2005 Pat's Run. "I received my undergrad degree from Auburn University, but when it came time to get my master's degree I wanted to go to the same school as Pat," Brian said. "I received my master's in physical education from ASU in December of 2007." Shannon (far right) and family pose for the camera at the 2006 Pat's Run. Shannon attended ASU at the same time Pat did and will be participating in her sixth Pat's Run. "I never had the opportunity to meet Pat as I lived in Colorado for many years," Brian says. "But after moving here in 2004, I quickly learned about him from people in this area." Pat's Run 2007. Brian and Jaxson, who ran in the kids run from age 3-7 until last year when he did the 4.2 mile run for the first time. Pat's Run 2008. "Pat inspires me in so many ways to simply be better in all aspects of my life, and for that I wish I could have shook his hand and thanked him," Brian says. The Websters pose for the camera after the 2009 Pat's Run. "His spirit truly does live on because his actions are still being emulated and respected by so many," Brian says. Pat's Run 2010. "He is a huge positive influence on my family and we will definitely be out there for year 7 of Pats Run and hopefully for many many more years after that as well," Brian says. Jaxson completed a third-grade project on Pat Tillman when his class was assigned to present on one of their heroes.
