Brock Osweiler named ASU Athlete of the Week

Quarterback Brock Osweiler has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 4th. Osweiler came in to relieve the injured Steven Threet and led an explosive offense that accounted for 595 yards, including six touchdowns and numerous big-plays. His consistent efforts throughout the game and clutch performance in relief, helped lead Arizona State to a thrilling 55-34 victory over the UCLA Bruins.

Osweiler, a sophomore from Kalispell, Mont., came off the bench in relief with ASU down 17-0. He promptly completed 27 of 38 passes for 380 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, setting new career highs in each category. Osweiler also rushed six times for 35 yards and a touchdown. Osweiler and the Sun Devils head to Tucson on Thursday to face arch-rival Arizona. The 84th Duel in the Desert starts at 6:00 p.m. MT.
