Members of the community are invited to join Arizona State University students, alumni, faculty and staff searching for a Sun Devilish good time this Halloween by participating in a special Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Tempe campus.

Information on parking and transportation for the event can be found here.

ASU’s 2010 Devilish Homecoming celebration will extol ASU spirit and offer devilishly good treats and times. The daylong extravaganza includes the Homecoming parade, Block Party, Kidz Zone, exhibits, tasty food, live entertainment, and culminates with an exciting football game between ASU and Washington State at Sun Devil Stadium. Kick-off for the game starts at 4 p.m.

To stay connected to Homecoming events and news via social media, visit ASU's Facebook page and follow Homecoming on Twitter by searching for #asuhomecoming.

The big day will be preceded by a week of fun and “spooktacular” activities for the entire community. Beads, pom-poms, banners, balloons, pitchforks, footballs and a sea of maroon and gold will fill the landscape for a week of homecoming traditions and celebrations that reflect ASU pride.

The celebration will offer attendees the opportunity to reconnect with the university’s past and look forward to its bright future – and children will enjoy a memorable trick-or-treat experience while getting a chance to see a college campus up close and personal.

This year’s parade will boast approximately 100 unique floats and special guests will march with Sun Devil pride. The Block Party will transform the university Alumni Lawn and the surrounding area along University Drive into one of the biggest celebrations of the year. It features close to 75 tents, hosted by various ASU colleges and units as well as several non-profit organizations.

The area will include educational activities and treats for children, plus demonstrations and exhibits for everyone. The expanded Kidz Zone will feature bounce houses, video game trucks, costume and coloring booths and other carnival games. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to dress in costume and trick or treat.

Tickets for the game can be purchased in person or by calling the Sun Devil Ticket Office at 480-727-0000.
