ASU's graduate education programs rank among nation's best

For the 11th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked ASU's Mary Lou Fulton Institute and Graduate School of Education among the nation’s best graduate programs in education.

The 2011 edition of "America’s Best Graduate Schools," released April 15, ranks the Fulton Institute and Graduate School 25th among public graduate schools of education and 36th among all public and private graduate programs, tied with Cornell University.

Seven programs within the Fulton Institute and Graduate School ranked in the top 20 public graduate schools of education in the nation:

• No. 11 in Education Policy among public graduate schools of education.

• No. 11 in Secondary Teacher Education among public graduate schools of education (tied with Montclair State University and the University of Iowa).

• No. 12 in Education Psychology (tied with the University of Georgia).

• No. 14 in Elementary Teacher Education among public graduate schools of education (tied with University of Connecticut-Neag).

• No. 15 in Student Counseling and Personnel Services among public graduate schools of education (tied with Kent State University, Miami University-Ohio, and the University of Vermont).

• No. 17 in Curriculum and Instruction among public graduate schools of education.

• No. 17 in Education Administration & Supervision among public graduate schools of education.

"For more than a decade, ASU has ranked within or near the top quarter of public graduate education programs in the United States,” said Terrence Wiley, executive dean and professor with the Fulton Institute and Graduate School of Education. “We are pleased to receive this public acknowledgement of the caliber of people and programs that embody this institution and the work that we do.”
