ASU passport office issues friendly reminder

Effective last June, new regulations from the U.S. Department of State require all U.S. citizens to have a passport book or passport card when traveling outside the United States.

You may apply for a U.S. passport book or U.S. passport card on campus at the ASU U.S. Passport Acceptance Office within the Center for Global Education Services. The office is located in the Tempe Center at 951 S. Mill Avenue, Suite 150, Room 166, in Tempe. Regular office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students, faculty, staff and the general public are welcome.

The standard processing time to receive the passport book or passport card is four to six weeks. Expedited processing is available, but additional fees apply.

Now is the time to come by and apply to avoid the summer rush. Parking spaces are available for passport customers on the west side of the Tempe Center outside Suite 150.
