President Crow discusses the future of higher education

January 21, 2010

The ASU Foundation and the President’s Community Enrichment Programs invite the public to join Arizona State University President Michael M. Crow for a conversation about the future of global higher education, the trajectory of ASU, and how its model for a New American University is changing the landscape of higher education.

The event will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Jan. 26 at the Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the presentation at 7 p.m.

ASU is taking on society’s biggest challenges and developing innovative solutions for a better future. The university’s more than 68,000 students pursue learning on the leading edge of disciplines and advance knowledge capable of yielding meaningful and far-reaching change. ASU’s 12,000-plus faculty and staff work together to support the success of our students, and invent and implement new ways to fulfill our teaching and research missions in service to our students and the broader community – both locally and globally.

Through a diverse network of strategic partnerships, ASU collaborates across intellectual and geographic boundaries to advance discovery, produce knowledge, and support economic, social, cultural and environmental well-being. These relationships offer unparalleled opportunities for our university community and nourish the ideas and activities that empower ASU to address and conquer the Challenges Before Us
