Ortega to chair La Raza Board of Directors

It was recently announced by the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) that College of Law alumna Daniel R. Ortega Jr. has been elected to chair the NCLR Board of Directors. Ortega has served on NCLR's Board of Directors since 2003.

Ortega is partner at the law offices of Roush, McCracken, Guerrero, Miller and Ortega, a firm that focuses primarily on personal injury and wrongful-death cases. He is a 1974 graduate of Arizona State University and a 1977 graduate of the College of Law.

He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, and of the American, Arizona, Maricopa County and Los Abogados Hispanic Bar associations. Ortega has worked with Community Legal Services, serves on the Board of Directors of the National Farm Workers Service Center and is on the Stewardship Board for The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, among others, and he has received numerous awards for his contributions to the community.
