The Arizona State football team has been picked to finish second in the Pacific-10 Conference in a preseason poll of West Coast media members who regularly cover the league.

Sports:  Almost ten percent of PGA Canadian Open Field are Sun Devils

As the PGA's Canadian Opens begins today, there are nine Sun Devils teeing off in the 93-man field, including seven who played under current ASU head coach Randy Lein, who will enter his 17th season at ASU in 2008-2009.

Sports:  ASU water polo team earns national academic honors

Following one the best seasons in program history, eight student-athletes and the entire Arizona State University water polo team have been selected for national academic honors as the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPA) announced its annual honorees Wednesday, July 23.

Sports:  Brooks Conrad becomes ASU's 90th major leaguer

Brooks Conrad became the 90th Sun Devil to play Major League Baseball when he started at third base for the Oakland Athletics yesterday against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

Sports:  Dexter Davis named to Hendricks Award watch list

The Ted Hendricks Foundation today announced that Arizona State University junior defensive end Dexter Davis has been named to the Watch List for the 2008 Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award, presented annually to the nation's top defensive end.

Sports:  Whiting captures gold in shot put at NACAC Under 23 Championships

The 208 NACAC Under 23 Championship track and field meet came to a close Sunday, July 20 in Toluca, Mexico, with the lone member of the Arizona State University program competing on the day, Ryan Whiting, winning the shot put to five the Sun Devils their fourth gold medal of the meet.

Sports:  ASU claims three gold medals at NACAC under 23 champs

Sarah Stevens won two events and Matt Turner captured one as the first of three days of competition at the 2008 NACAC Under 23 Championships concluded July 18 in Toluca, Mexico, for three members of the Arizona State University track and field program.

Sports:  Rudy Carpenter named to Davey O'Brien Award watch list

Arizona State University senior quarterback Rudy Carpenter has been named to the Watch List for the Davey O'Brien Award, which is presented annually to the best quarterback in the nation.

Sports:  Stevens, Turner, Whiting set to compete at NACAC meet for Team USA

Three members of the Arizona State University track and field program will be competing at the NACAC Under-23 Championships this weekend in Toluca, Mexico, as Sarah Stevens, Matt Turner and Ryan Whiting were selected to Team USA for the event that features athletes from the countries in North American, Central American and the Caribbean. Stevens will compete in the shot put and hammer, Turner in the long jump and Whiting in the shot put and discus in the meet that runs July 18-20.
