Copper Square Ambassadors
We’ve all seen the friendly people in the orange shirts circulating throughout the downtown area. But what do they do? They’re the Copper Square Ambassadors and an untapped resource for the downtown campus community. The Downtown Phoenix Partnership employs 23 Copper Square Ambassadors (CSAs) who are specially trained in customer service and hospitality.
These ambassadors provide that extra sense of security by escorting you to places on campus if you don’t want to go alone. Each ambassador has logged more than 160 hours of training in public safety, crime prevention, first aid and CPR.
They serve as a welcoming presence for employees, visitors, convention attendees and residents of the downtown area and have the “411” on the downtown scene. Ambassadors are at your service – to give directions, answer questions, provide recommendations or walk you to your destination – anything to help make your visit in Copper Square more convenient and enjoyable. On duty seven days a week and 365 days a year, ambassadors travel downtown streets on foot and bicycles. They can be found at events, hotels, office buildings, restaurants and venues such as the Convention Center. Look for ambassadors from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
CSAs are easy to recognize. Just look for the orange and khaki uniform with the “Ambassador … Ask me!” logo. Or, call the ambassador hotline at (602) 495-1500.
