Students win Outstanding Graduate Awards from their colleges

Almost 2,400 students are graduating from ASU with honors on May 13--365 of them from Barrett, the Honors College. With so many accomplished students, it was a difficult task for each college to choose one person to receive an Outstanding Graduate Award from the ASU Alumni Association. Eighteen students were selected, each having exceptional accomplishments and at least a 3.5 GPA.

Outstanding graduate awards are being given to the following students: Devin Mauney, Barrett; Tate Ragland, College of Design; Crystal Allison, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Jessica Casas, College of Nursing and Healthcare Innovation; Edith Baltierrez, College of Public Programs; Jose Estrada, College of Teacher Education and Leadership; Senay Purzer, College of Technology and Innovation; Jessica Mumford, Herberger College of the Arts; and James Broyles, Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering.

Other outstanding graduate awardees are Caitlin Joseph, Mary Lou Fulton College of Education; Inez Lopez, Morrison School of Management and Agribusiness; Kevin Svancara, New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences; Kendall Wilson, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law; Sara Van Arsdall, School of Applied Arts and Sciences; Karl Purdy, School of Educational Innovation and Teacher Preparation; Marc Beckstrom-Sternberg, School of Letters and Sciences; Hillary Reitan, W.P. Carey School of Business; and Deanna Dent, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Another 44 students are receiving Moeur Awards from the Alumni Association, for having 4.0 GPAs and having completed all their coursework at ASU.
