Astronomy open house 'puts you' on the planets

October 30, 2009
8 p.m. - 10 p.m.

What would it feel like to stand on Mars? Or on Jupiter? Find out during the free Astronomy Open House at Arizona State University’s Tempe campus on Oct. 30.

The open house will take place between 8 and 10 p.m. on the 5th Floor of Bateman Physical Sciences Center H Wing. Guests may come anytime during the evening, which will include telescope viewings, a display of meteorites, fun kid activities, and other astronomy related activities.

Free parking is available after 7 p.m. in the Tyler Street Structure, McAllister Avenue and Tyler Street. And, the Metro Light Rail station is nearby at Rural Road and University Drive.

The monthly open house is sponsored by ASU graduate students in the School of Earth and Space Exploration. The next open house is scheduled for Nov. 20.
