Student Body president Andrew Clark, Sparky and Elizabeth Langland, vice president and dean of the New College of Interdiscliplanary Arts & Sciences, cut the ribbon, officially opening the new Devils Den facility. Kristen Heller, a freshman education major, took time on Saturday, Sept. 12, to volunteer at the ACT Kids Health Fair held at the University Public School campus in downtown Phoenix. Heller's first client was Isabel Soto and her son, Damian Soto, 4, who were escorted throughout to various locations at the school, as the Sotos took advantage of ACT's health screening services. The fair served over a 1,000 people during the event, which serves at-risk children who are eligible for metropolitan Phoenix Head Start programs.Photographer: Tom Story -
