A new kind of rehabilitation system for people who have suffered strokes is being developed through a partnership of Arizona State University researchers and Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz.

An interactive audiovisual virtual-reality system provides physical therapy that helps patients regain movement and sensory ability.

It's the work of experts in bioengineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, media arts, music and psychology collaborating through ASU's Arts, Media and Engineering program, a partnership of the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.
