Smith: Mammal decline a serious concern
ASU Biology Professor Andrew Smith says the thought of 25 percent mammals heading toward extinction should give us pause for the future.
Smith played a key role in a recent study that showed one in four mammal species on Earth is being pushed to extinction. The Global Mammal Assessment, the most comprehensive assessment of the world’s mammals, was published in the Oct. 10 issue of Science.
