Scientists have introduced a Web site called the Encyclopedia of Life that aims to give easy access to descriptions of every species known to science. “The Encyclopedia of Life is a fantastic and long overdue project,” says Quentin D. Wheeler, the director of the ASU’s International Institute for Species Exploration. However, “my concern is about the content, and where the content will come from,” says Wheeler.
